The main advantage of mikrotik on other shapers, is the HTB queue, that allow to prioritize bandwidth upon protocols, payloads,destination or Layers7 signatures...The diffserv wouldnt apply on the above since it's domain dependant...Thus Bsplitter should apply at least on the infrastructure protocols by specifying priority coefficient...

Add Time quota so that users will be allowed a specific amount of time to use Internet, like one hour every day. The users can use the internet as many times as they want but the sum cannot exceed their allowed time quota

somethink like right button click where kill conection would be exist

Just open IE and get the bandwidth status from a web based interface.

Add ability to set quotas for the sites (based on network objects) in addition to the quotas for users / groups? Now for the "Quota rules" setting is not available tab "Destinations".

Statically designating licences by IP address versus the number of concurrent connections makes the task of removing assigned licences to make them available somewhat of a headache.

We'd like to be able to shape by URL category, such as Streaming Media - Currently we have to maintain our own URL sets with known streaming sites, would be much better if Bandwidth splitter could utilise the Microsoft pre defined URL categories

Hopefully simple enough to implement, but I think it would be a really great feature to be able to set the Total (kb/s) for both primary and secondary ISPs. In the event that the external link (fail-over mode) switches from Pri->Sec or Sec<-Pri BSplitter can automatically adjust the shaping rule without involving IT.

I see that another user had a related, but more complex request to allow independent shaping based on the ISP link when in load-balancing mode. The situation I describe above relates to fail-over mode, but similarly could be used/extended to cover load-balancing mode.

If we can reduce the bandwidth limit when the number of connection excess the define value (e.g. 50). Even batter if we have multiple connection levels define. The reason is the regular internet user shouldn’t have more than 20 connections, but if the workstation have bit-torrent running, the number of connections will increase to few hundred. I think this is one of the less expensive solutions to reduce the BT traffic.

When define quota make posible to select the reset period, not only daily, monthly or yearly, by time, every 3 days for example, every 3 hours. Develop the ability to filter by file type the traffic, for example, .exe all of download, and the web surf separatelly.

It's good if Bsplitter can monitor GRE packets originated from PPTP connection. resulting in monitoring and shaping this kind of traffics.

It would be beneficial to allow the reservation of bandwidth, guaranteeing certain network paths would always have a dedicated amount of bandwidth available.
